A few exercises can help you maintain a good eyesight, and don’t require more than a couple of minutes of your day, and you don’t even have to do them every single day. Blinking for a minute is one of these exercises.

Blinking relaxes our eyes. This is an easy thing to do, and not even an exercise per se. Just open and close your eyes anywhere from 30 seconds to a minute, it is relaxing and moistens your eyes.

Blinking clears eyes and helps them to relax from light. If a person doesn’t blink enough, eyes can become dry and it can lead to inflammations and poor vision.

This exercise serves as a way to adopt frequent blinking for people who fail to do it regularly, especially those working positions that require a lot of attention. The results can be seen within a week.

Good eye health also depends on your diet, according to experts. Natural food with minimal or no heat involved preserves good eyesight.

Blinking cleans the ocular surface of debris and flushes fresh tears over the ocular surface. Each blink brings nutrients to the eye surface structures keeping them healthy. The main purpose of blinking is to clean and moisturize the eyes and protect them by sweeping away the small particles of dust or dirt that may cause irritation.
