bruise

One of the most common skin injuries that lead to skin discoloration is called bruise. This is when the blood from damaged blood cells deep beneath our skin collects close to the skin surface which can cause a bluish to black colored mark.

Causes

The typical cause is when our body parts bump into something of the other way around.

People who tend to vigorously exercise also have the likelihood to experience this like weight lifters and athletes. This is due to microscopic tears of blood vessels beneath their skin.

There are also unexplained bruises that are likely to happen without a clear reason. This can be related to a bleeding disorder specifically if the mark is associated with bleeding gums or nose.

Elders may frequently have it because their skin has the tendency to be thinner. Tissues turned out to be more fragile which role is to support the blood vessels.

This can also be quite common to those taking blood-thinning medications.

Bruising happens when small blood vessels under the skin break. This causes bleeding within skin tissues due to which you will also see discolorations from the bleeding. Sometimes medications are needed to treat certain health conditions and improve quality of life. However, the very medications you depend on may be what’s causing or your easy bruising.

Bruising can have causes that aren’t due to underlying disease. People typically get bruises when they bump into something or when something bumps into them. Bruises can occur in some people who exercise vigorously, such as athletes and weight lifters.
Unexplained bruises that occur easily or for no apparent reason may indicate a bleeding disorder.
