cinnamon health benefits

How much cinnamon should you consume daily or weekly? Because cinnamon is an unproven treatment but claimed to help by many people for numerous conditions, there is no established dose. Some recommend 1/2 to 1 teaspoon (2-4 grams) of cinnamon powder a day. Some studies have used between 1 gram and 6 grams of cinnamon daily.

Cinnamon lowers blood glucose levels and thus helps the body to lose weight. The anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties of the powder can provide additional help to those trying to lose some weight by increasing metabolic rate and promoting an overall healthy body that’ll process the food better.

Cinnamon is one of the healthiest and most delicious spices available. It can lower blood sugar levels, reduce risks for heart diseases, and has a plethora of other amazing health benefits. Just make sure to get Ceylon cinnamon because it’s healthier than Cassia cinnamon.

Note that swallowing dry cinnamon powder can cause a collapse of the lungs and even death. Swallowing a spoonful of powder is dangerous and luckily this dangerous practice has decreased in recent years.
