How much cinnamon should you consume daily or weekly? Because cinnamon is an unproven treatment but claimed to help by many people for numerous conditions, there is no established dose. Some recommend 1/2 to 1 teaspoon (2-4 grams) of cinnamon powder a day. Some studies have used between 1 gram and 6 grams of cinnamon daily.

Cinnamon lowers blood glucose levels and thus helps the body to lose weight. The anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties of the powder can provide additional help to those trying to lose some weight by increasing metabolic rate and promoting an overall healthy body that’ll process the food better.

Cinnamon has been linked to a reduced risk of heart disease, the world’s most common cause of premature death. In this study, cinnamon also increased “good” HDL cholesterol levels (11).
