There are lad tests that can diagnose whether your body has achieved ketosis or not. If you don’t want to go for any urine or blood test you can read signs and symptoms of your body to know if you are in ketosis.
Symptoms of ketosis:
1. Dry mouth: Unusual dryness of the mouth with increased thirst is often experienced by people on ketosis. If you experience dryness of the mouth even if you have not increased salt intake or reduced water intake it means your body has achieved ketosis. You may also feel a metallic taste in your mouth.
2. Keto Breath: Being on ketosis your breath won’t smell awful rather fruity and sometimes like that of a nail paint remover. Keto breath is the kind of breath we experience after a workout regime. The smell is temporary and often fades away in a few hours.
3. Frequent urination: Acetoacetate, a type of ketone body, may lead to a frequent urge to urinate. Frequent urination could also be a cause of increased thirst.
4. Reduced hunger: People on keto may also experience a reduced appetite. This is usually caused by the body’s increased ability to burn the stored fat. Some people feel satisfied even after having a meal once or twice a day. This symptom is rare. But, a reduced appetite is a great sign for those trying to lose weight with the keto diet.
5. Increased Energy: Being on a keto diet one may feel exhausted for a few days, but they a sudden flow of energy which is usually caused by lack of brain fog or a sense of excitement.
