1. Keto Flu: The most common side-effect is fatigue which is also known as keto flu particularly for people on the keto diet. Keto diet is a low-carb diet which may cause headache, fatigue, nausea, poor sleep, and dizziness. These issues often discourage people from putting on the keto diet.
2. Cramps: Leg cramps are quite common among people on a keto diet. Leg cramps are often caused by dehydration as well as a loss of minerals. A low-carb diet often flushes out glycogen a type of glucose in liver and muscles that binds water.
3. Digestion problem: Dietary changes can upset the digestive system. Keto-diet beginners may experience constipation due to water loss.
4. Elevate heart rate: heart palpitations and racing heartbeat are common among people on a keto diet. Low salt intake is said to be the cause of elevated heart rate.
Ketosis is a rigorous yet natural way to burn excess fat from the body. Your body may not like to be in ketosis as you experience frequent urge to urinate, nausea, fatigue, dehydration, and other health issues. These issues fade away in a few weeks and your body starts feeling better than ever.

    Ketosis is generally considered to be safe for most people. However, it may lead to a few side effects, especially in the beginning. Once the body is in ketosis and it is burning fat instead of glucose then the keto diet is working. But you may not feel so great at first due to keto flu, which includes the symptoms everything from headache, weakness, and irritability, to constipation, nausea, and vomiting.

While ketoacidosis is a serious condition caused by uncontrolled diabetes, ketosis is a natural metabolic state.
