A keto or ketogenic diet is a very popular kind of diet these days. It is comprised of a low carb diet that is known to be helpful in burning fats. A lot of people already tried and tested it that this diet is beneficial in losing weight as well as for better performance and optimum health. Many doctors also used and recommended it.

Keto from the word ketogenic diet originates from the fact that it enables the body to produce ketones or the small fuel molecules. Ketones are alternative fuel sources for the body and it is used when the glucose or blood sugar is limited in quantity.

What to eat when on a keto diet?

The usual food to eat when practicing this diet is to consume natural fats, fish and seafood, meat, high-fat dairy, eggs, nuts in moderation and vegetables that grow above the ground.

Counting carbohydrates intake can help when starting out. Sticking on the recommended recipes and food items can help one to stay on keto without the need to count.

    Nowadays, I am trying to shed some weight for which instead of joining a gym I am planning to take ways which are natural and I can continue for long. While searching out for regular exercises at home and healthy diet charts I came across this Keto Diet. However, I found few pills that are the part of keto diet and helps you reduce weight very easily, I thought of ordering them but realised that such medicines do have side effects, so I dropped the plan. If possible then please provide some more information about this Keto Diet.

    Helpful reading so far! I have learned a lot of things through the post. The ketogenic diet is a very low-carb, high-fat diet that shares many similarities with the Atkins and low-carb diets. It involves drastically reducing carbohydrate intake and replacing it with fat. This reduction in carbs puts your body into a metabolic state called ketosis. Thanks and keep up the great work!

    Keto diet even though it’s quite popular in the few recent years is not that healthy overall because you limit the intake of many fruits and vegetables that are good for your body. It’s good if you want to lose weight or something short-term but in the long run you deprive yourself vitamins and minerals crucial for good functioning of the entire body.
